Here is Rock my receptions second post for weddings in the North West gained from our experience as an acoustic wedding band playing across the region……
We seem to have had so many booking in the North West area this year and as I mentioned in the earlier post maybe this is something go do with the areas famous musical heritage, and the taste people have in music in the region. We have played up and down the U.K playing live wedding music and as soon as we are in that neck of the woods the requests always fly in for The Beatles, Stone Roses, Oasis and all those great North West bands that have shaped modern day music.
The North West really does seem to be a hot bed of activity recently, more than half a million foreign tourists visited Liverpool last year. Since the B.B.C relocating to Salford Quays it sparked a mini housing boom in the area and with more people choosing to holiday and honeymoon in Britain, the Lake District has enjoyed a bumper summer in 2013, hotel occupancy rates in the area are well up on the national average.
There are some great wedding locations in the region from Cheshire all the way up to the North Lakes. The setting for the big day is always an important factor to bare in mind when choosing a venue. Not only do wedding couples want a venue which looks stunning on the photos, but the geographical location is also important factor, and the flexibility and helpfulness from the venue wedding organisers all play an important roll in the day.
One venue which fits this roll perfectly is The Fir Grove Hotel. Located just outside Warrington it is a stones throw from both Liverpool and Manchester. It is decorated and kitted out to the highest standard, having just had a major face life giving the venue a new frontage and conservatory. Still retaining a sense of history other parts of the building date back hundreds of years. It is no surprise why it has just been nominated “Venue of the Year” in the 2014 Countybride awards.
The staff at the venue are by far some of the most efficient, hard working and conscientious staff we have worked with. They are happy to help plan your day and answer any question you may have on how the day will run.
The venue lends it self to both large or small weddings alike. Also set within the building is a stunning sculpture garden area with an ornate stone gazebo, making it the perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony which is fully licensed for Civil Marriages and Civil Partnerships, if you prefer to keep the whole day on one site.
It can also accommodate your guests, having 52 separate rooms, knowing that they can stay and get into the spirit of things for the night reception.
Also worth checking out is their ‘Deals Of The Month’ page definitely worth looking at.
