Last year we were recorded playing at a wedding which has been featured on Sky T.Vs Four Weddings program. We played the bride down the aisle and through various parts of the ceremony. It seems like the episode is constantly repeated! I picked up my phone last night and took a quick picture of the T.V as we were playing during the drinks reception as the bride and groom and guests entered the venue for wedding breakfast.
The venue was at Le metropolitain (The Metro) in Halifax and ceremony was held above in The Grand Salon and beautifully ornate room with stunning Rococo plasterwork (ten years in the making) by the Italian master craftsman Giuseppe Cortese.
The Bride then wanted us to play as guests arrived in for the wedding breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and a real one off venue finished in a 1930s art deco style. Its one of them venues we always look forward to playing at as the staff always do their up most to ensure the day runs as smooth as possible.
The producers at Four Weddings were really happy with the day as was the bride and groom. As the happy couple finished off the evening we went for a drink with the Four Weddings crew, some great memories looking back!
