St Blaise Church is a beautiful Catholic church in the heart of Dubrovnik’s Old Town, providing a spectacular and historic setting for a wedding ceremony. Rock My Reception have performed live music during ceremonies at St Blaise, combining traditional Catholic hymns with modern songs approved by the priest, allowing couples to make the music personal while respecting the traditions.

Our Experience of St. Blaise's Church
One of the things we love most about St Blaise Church is how welcoming and positive our experience has always been when performing there.
We understand how important it is that the traditions of a Catholic wedding are respected. I am always happy to personally contact your priest beforehand, introduce myself, discuss your music choices and reassure them that we understand the order of service and will respect the traditions of the church.
The setting itself is incredible, right in the heart of Dubrovnik's Old Town, with beautiful acoustics inside that make live music sound amazing.
But our favourite part has to be when the newlyweds step out of St Blaise Church. With the church overlooking one of the busiest parts of the Old Town, it almost feels like stepping onto a stage, with tourists stopping to watch, applaud and cheer as you leave the church for the first time as a married couple.
Our Top Tips

Let us liaise with your priest beforehand. We are happy to contact your priest directly, introduce ourselves and discuss the music and order of service. It gives everyone peace of mind and makes things much easier on the wedding day.

You don't have to choose a traditional organist. We can lead the singing with acoustic guitars and vocals, giving traditional Catholic hymns a beautiful, almost gospel feel. The acoustics inside St Blaise make this sound particularly special and create a wonderful atmosphere during the ceremony.

Don't be afraid to include a modern song. Catholic wedding music doesn't have to be entirely traditional. A carefully chosen modern song can work beautifully alongside hymns and religious music, much like 'Stand By Me' did at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's church wedding.
