The filming was shot by film and creative video production company Hewitt And Walker. We recorded the audio to She's Electric at Loom Studios in Leeds. We wanted to record a song with the ukulele and guitars together, as we have been more and more frequently asked at wedding's to perform on the ukulele. We blended the two together and it really gives it a light summertime feel. We tried to capture all different elements of London from the pretty streets of Hampstead and Notting Hill through to the city centre and some of the Brutalism architecture, which in a way now looks really cool. Recorded at Loom Studios, in Yorkshire during early spring this year. The video was filmed by Ollie Bostock, who is one of Yorkshire's leading wedding filmmakers. Dominic from rock my reception on the recording process: “We set out to record a version of Dakota and really try and put our own take on the song. Playing at weddings, this song is often requested, so we thought we would record our own version of it”. “It was great to capture the recording process on camera and give a short commentary on what happens during the studio” This particular track incorporates steel string acoustic guitar, nylon string guitar, 12 string guitar and Ukulele and also some percussion, lower down in the mix. The blend of instruments works together to keep an acoustic feel. The main vocals are sung by Kieran, with Dominic adding harmonies throughout the track. Rock My Reception have become one of the U.Ks best wedding bands. Having won the ‘Best Newcomer’ to the wedding industry at the ‘2014 Wedding Industry Awards’, they were also voted ‘Best Live Wedding Entertainment’ in the North East England region. They were also voted ‘Best Live Entertainment’ by ‘Wedding Ideas’ magazine in 2014. Rock My Reception offer live wedding music during wedding ceremonies.
