Aine and Gerard celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Hotel Croatia Cavtat, where we performed outside on the terrace overlooking the Adriatic. It was a wonderfully hot summer evening, with planes occasionally flying right over our heads as they approached nearby Dubrovnik Airport, which added something really memorable to the atmosphere.
We performed Aine and Ger's first dance live before moving into a more upbeat evening set, including plenty of traditional Irish favourites that certainly went down well with their Irish guests!
For couples wanting to continue the live music later into the evening, we can also perform inside the hotel's Piano Bar, giving you the option to move the celebrations indoors as the night continues.
Our Experience of Hotel Croatia
One of the things we love about Hotel Croatia Cavtat is its location. It's really well placed for Dubrovnik Airport, while being away from the bustle of the Old Town and surrounded by stunning Adriatic coastline and scenery. Dubrovnik's Old Town is only a boat ride away, which also gives couples the option of having their wedding ceremony in the Old Town before turning the journey back to Cavtat into a wedding boat cruise, combining two very different sides of Dubrovnik in one wedding day.

Make the most of the scenery. Hotel Croatia has a stunning position overlooking the Adriatic, so allow plenty of time for photographs around the hotel and coastline, particularly as the sun starts to set.

Use Hotel Croatia as your wedding base. Having your guests staying together at the hotel makes the logistics of a destination wedding much easier, particularly with Dubrovnik Airport being so close.

Combine Cavtat with Dubrovnik's Old Town. You can have your ceremony in the historic Old Town and turn the journey back to Cavtat into a wedding boat cruise, giving you the Old Town, Adriatic coastline and Hotel Croatia all in one wedding day.
Live Music Ideas That Work Well Here
Hotel Croatia works particularly well for live music both inside and outside. We performed acoustic music on the terrace well into the evening and, from our experience, there didn't appear to be the noise restrictions you sometimes encounter at outdoor wedding venues.
The hotel also has a great selection of indoor spaces, so for weddings during the cooler months, or if the temperature drops later in the evening, you can easily bring the celebrations and live music inside.
